I hunt because it is FUN, No apology needed. I hunt NTO because Paul runs a convenient friendly and personable ranch.
Why hunt high fence?
1. You can hunt when free range season is closed.
2. No drawing of tags or waiting years for preference points to accumulate.
3. Comfortable accommodations. Hunt at your own pace.
4. Always critters to see. (big entertainment factor for me).
5. Great place to test fine arms and load design.
6. Great place to encourage and start young hunters.
7. Species available that may not be indigenous to the USA.
8. It is just plain fun. What is not to like? Give it a try.
Critics of high fence hunting say it is just too easy. I contest they have not hunted Blackbuck or Aoudad with hand gun or bow.
Pick your reason to hunt "excuse for spouse or boss" then have fun. I give my highest recommendations to Paul Cantrell at NTO.
By the way, the rifle hunter that killed that big red sheep, my congratulations. He needs to thanks this hand gun hunter for a flat out miss.

"My experience with hunting has been over 50 years , but I have never had as much fun or excitement in 1 day or more of hunting than I have gotten out at North Texas Outfitters. You can go from a diamond class animal to a economy hunt in seconds. I have been guided and taken some diamond class animals and have taken the #1 Catalina Goat in the TGRA last year to the #3 Mouflon sheep with a handgun. This is not a easy task you have to have a good guide. We have brought clients to spend a few days to just a day trip alone and always left with a good time. The lodge and cabins are clean and well kept. The food is wonder full and always waiting on you after a great hunt. The owner goes all out to be sure you have a great selection of animals and a great time and fellowship with everyone there. Paul has gone beyond on fixing up the lodge and adding new cabins for everyone’s comfort and a great experience. If you want a good time a great hunt and see great animal and leave a hunting camp like you are leaving your home, then you have to visit Paul at NTO."

"I first met Paul with North Texas Outfitters on New Year’s Day of 2005. That was a great way to start off the year! I had never done any big game hunting before and my first experience was phenomenal! I borrowed my Dads .270 Win and shot my first Corsican which ranked #14 in the Records of Exotics. Then I shot a great Blackbuck two days later which ranked #4 in the Records of Exotics. I have gone back to NTO three times since then and have added to my trophy collection some great animals including a Safari Club International Gold Medal Red Deer with a bow. Plus I shot a large Bison with a pistol which is currently ranking #2. Now I own way too many rifles, but I enjoy hunting with a “stick and a string” as Paul likes to refer to my bow and arrow. I have only had great experiences at NTO and the food and lodging is unbeatable. I am currently looking forward to my next trip to NTO where I hope to bring my oldest daughter, Taylor, so she can have as great a first experience as I did."

"I would like to this opportunity to thank you the awesome hunting experiences I have had at NTO. The facilities are top notch; the food is absolutely the best I have ever had at any hunting ranch or any type of guided hunt. As far as guides go they all are knowledge of the animals and their habits and work very hard to get you on the animal you are looking for and not just the one they want to sell. As far as animals are concerned the variety and quality of the animals are second to none. As you know I started off with a small Axis buck in the economy pasture and now have a list of trophies any hunter would be proud of. The fact that you can go shoot a world class goat or sheep one day and then a huge Elk of Red Stag and then follow it up with an Addax or Blue Wildebeest is amazing. I would highly recommend NTO to any one looking for a unique and top notch hunting experience."
